Born in 1844 in Dublin, Ireland, my artistic journey began at a young age. I was initially trained by my father, who was an artist and engineer. My passion for art grew stronger over the years, leading me to study at the South Kensington Art School and the Royal Academy in London. My work in historical and genre painting was influenced by my interest in storytelling through visual means and the desire to capture moments of emotional and moral significance.
